Liaqat Ali Khan, chairman of the Rajasthan Waqf Board also hosted an iftar do on behalf of the board. The star attraction of this do was Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. “Ramzan is a month of giving and organising iftar parties is a good tradition as it’s devoid of any demarcation. However, I would appreciate if such political parties are hosted at areas dominated by the community as opposed to hotels as it would give the people a chance to interact with their leaders,” he said.
The do began with the azaan, which was followed by iftar and a lavish dinner.
